Sarah Nicole Grigorescu is a local artist based in Toronto. Sarah is specialized in digital art but also paints acrylics and watercolours. Her art is inspired by her love for nature and animals. Her digital artwork is showcased as high quality art cards and limited editions fine prints. Her acrylic and watercolour paintings are authentic originals with no reproductions.
Sarah had an interest in nature, animals and painting from an early age. Different key moments in her school years - her father's encouragement, an educational game with animals that offered a digital art platform and the book "The Art of Robert Bateman" gifted by a family friend were her learning grounds. Sarah is mainly self taught and has been painting for over nine years. She started with watercolours and acrylics but digital art emerged as a favorite. Not having the overhead of buying canvases, brushes and paints and not being messy appealed to her much at the time and remains a favorite.
Her art interest was truly ignited after a watercolour journaling workshop during a winter vacation in beautiful Muskoka when she realized doing art is her happy place. Experiencing with different mediums and learning different art techniques, digital art emerged as a favourite. It was in highschool when Sarah knew she wanted to fully embark on her art journey and Sarah Nicole's Artistry was born in her last years of highschool. First year of business was pretty much about setting up this website, starting to build her portfolio and learning about participation at local artisan markets and craft shows with a few popup vendor opportunities. Sarah at the moment, took a gap year trying to figure out next steps while showcasing and selling her art at the local artisan markets and craftshows in and around Toronto.
While Sarah specializes in digital art, she remains fond of the traditional. Currently, Sarah is trying to have a more balanced approach, traditional versus digital artworks.
Sarah shares her view of the beauty surrounding us in uniquely, detailed and beautiful captured moments. She likes her paintings to be in the details, moments and emotions she perceives as she creates a sense of joy, peace, happiness, place and presence. A lover of animals and nature, Sarah paintings are inspired by her passion and her artworks are truly a work of art!
