Digital paintings are works of art that are created in a similar way to traditional paintings, but with the aid of computer software, and then digitally output the finished picture as if it were painted on canvas. The artist will operate their stylus like a brush or pencil to execute illustration and painting techniques within a software program using a computer screen or tablet as their digital canvas.
